Steelers Lose G Willie Colon For “Several Weeks”

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reports that G Willie Colon underwent surgery on his knee and is expected to miss “several weeks,” per Ed Bouchette.

Tomlin added that David DeCastro will get a shot at playing right guard, while Ramon Foster will likely replace Colon on the left side.

As a unit, the Steelers have been better this season, but they still struggle to effectively run block. Losing Colon will certainly be a big obstacle for them up front. Pittsburgh has a tough road from here on out as they travel to Dallas this weekend and have home games against solid division teams like the Bengals and Browns.
