Steelers Place Three On COVID-19 List Including DL Stephon Tuitt

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Friday that they’ve placed three players on the COVID-19 list including DT Isaiah Buggs, OL Jerald Hawkins and DE Stephon Tuitt.

The Steelers-Ravens game has already been pushed back due to the outbreak in Baltimore. However, the Steelers are now dealing with COVID issues of their own.

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Tuitt, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Steelers back in 2014. He’s in the fourth year of a six-year, $61 million contract that included an $11 million signing bonus.

In 2020, Tuitt has appeared in 10 games for the Steelers and recorded 32 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and two passes defended.
