Steelers RB Isaac Redman Set To Undergo MRI

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Steelers RB Isaac Redman will have an MRI on his injured groin.

Redman has missed practice since he suffered the injury in the team’s first preseason game, but at this point in time, it’s hard to determine just how serious the injury is.

Pittsburgh already has issues with their running game, even with Redman at full health, so losing him would force Jonathan Dwyer to take on a much bigger role this season. The Steelers released RB John Clay yesterday, which makes Baron Batch their potential No. 2 back, assuming Redman misses some time.
