Steelers Re-Sign RFA LB Anthony Chickillo

According to Pro Football Talk, Steelers restricted free agent LB Anthony Chickillo has signed his one-year tender for the 2018 season.

Pittsburgh used the original-round restricted tender on Chickillo, which will cost them $1.907 million for the 2018 season.

Chickillo, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2015. He was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

It was just a few weeks into the 2015 season that the Steelers promoted Chickillo and he’s been on their active roster ever since. He just finished a one-year exclusive rights contract with Pittsburgh.

In 2017, Chickillo appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and recorded 19 tackles, three sacks, and one pass defense.
