Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the Steelers are re-signing RB Fitzgerald Toussaint to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Toussaint, 27, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2014. He was on and off of the Ravens’ active roster over the year and a half he spent in Baltimore before signing on to the Steelers’ practice squad at the start of the 2015 season.
Toussaint returned to Pittsburgh on a future/reserve contract last year and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Toussaint appeared in six games for the Steelers and rushed for 25 yards on six carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with two receptions for nine yards and no touchdowns. Toussaint also contributed 94 kick return yards.
