Steelers Sign OL Chris Hubbard & FB Roosevelt Nix To Extensions

The Steelers announced that they’ve signed OL Chris Hubbard and FB Roosevelt Nix to one-year contract extensions on Tuesday.

Nix, 23, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster and sat out the entire 2014 season before signing a future/reserve contract with the Steelers a year ago.

In 2015, Nix appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and caught two passes for 11 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Hubbard, 24, signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of UAB back in 2013. He spent his first year on the practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract.

In 2015, Hubbard appeared in eight games for the Steelers and was limited to playing just 33 snaps.
