Steelers Sign QB Michael Vick To A One-Year, $970K Deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran QB Michael Vick to a to a contract, according to Ed Bouchette.

  • According to Field Yates, Vick receives a one-year contract worth $970,000 from the Steelers with no injury split or guarantees included.
  • The Steelers also placed backup QB Bruce Gradkowski on season-ending injured reserve with dislocated his left finger.

This comes after Jason La Canfora reported that there was “strong mutual interest” between the Steelers and Vick following his visit in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Vick, 34, played out his one-year contract worth $4 million with the Jets last season and is, arguably, the best free agent quarterback available.

In 2014, Vick threw for 604 yards while completing 52.9 percent of his passes to go along with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also added 153 yards rushing over the course of 1o games.

We had him rated as the No. 22 player in our Top 25 Available Free Agents list.
