Erik Burkhardt, the agent for veteran K Garrett Hartley, announced Tuesday that his client has signed a contract with the Steelers.

The Steelers were forced to hold kicker tryouts after K Shaun Suisham sustained a season-ending knee injury this past Sunday.

Pittsburgh also hosted free agent Jay Feely and Alex Henery for workouts. According to Pro Football Talk, both Hartley and Feely made all kicks during their tryout outside of a 53-yard attempt.

Hartley, 28, had spent five seasons with the Saints before he was released in December of last year. The Browns signed him to a contract at the end of the 2014 season, but elected to release him shortly after the draft.

Last year, Hartley appeared in two games and converted all three of his field goal attempts and his two extra point tries.
