According to Ray Fittipaldo, the Steelers signed TE Alize Mack to their practice squad on Tuesday and cut LB Robert Spillane to make room for him.
Pittsburgh’s practice squad now consists of:
- S Marcus Allen
- RB Trey Edmunds
- OL Derwin Gray
- WR Tevin Jones
- DL Henry Mondeaux
- OL Patrick Morris
- TE Kevin Rader
- TE Christian Scotland-Williamson (International)
- TE Alize Mack
- QB Paxton Lynch
- CB Alex Myres
Mack, 22, is a former seventh-round pick by the Saints in this year’s NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. He signed a four-year, $2.6 million rookie contract through 2022 but was among New Orleans’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
He signed on with the Saints’ practice squad but was cut loose last week.
During his three-year college career at Notre Dame, Mack recorded 68 receptions for 716 yards receiving (10.5 YPC) and four touchdowns.
