The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they’ve signed CB Antonio Crawford to a contract and waived RB Brandon Brown-Dukes.
Brown-Dukes, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Mercyhurst back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason but was added to the Steelers’ practice squad at the start of the season.
The Steelers signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January but cut him loose shortly after this year’s draft. Brown-Dukes returned to Pittsburgh last month.
During the preseason last year, Brown-Dukes appeared in three games for the Steelers and rushed for seven yards on six carries to go along with two receptions for 15 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
