Current Allen Wrangler, Terrell Owens, mentioned that his surgically-repaired knee is doing just “fine” and is still hoping to return to the NFL.
“Definitely, that is the plan,” Owens said, per CSN Chicago’s Jim Miller. “As far as health, I’m fine. I’m just looking for an opportunity.”
Miller adds that Owens would be a “no brainer” for the Bears and believes he could be their starting flanker.
While they could still use some help at receiver, it’s hard to imagine that a 38-year-old is going to be able to solidify a starting position for them. Owens has kept in great shape throughout his career, but the fact that he plays a skill position isn’t going to help his chances of finding work in the NFL.
