Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are expected to activate TE C.J. Fiedorowicz from injured reserve this week.
This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, considering that the Texans officially designated him to return from injured reserve a few weeks ago.
Fiedorowicz, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.95 million contract and was to make a base salary of $831,810 for the 2017 season when the Texans recently signed him to a brand new three-year, $21.5 million extension with $10 million guaranteed.
Fiedorowicz was placed on injured reserve with a concussion back in September.
In 2016, Fiedorowicz appeared in 15 games for the Texans and caught 54 passes for 559 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 16 tight end out of 62 qualifying players.
