Texans Downgrade RB Lamar Miller To Out For Sunday’s Game

The Houston Texans announced Saturday that RB Lamar Miller, WR Keke Coutee, and NT Brandon Dunn will not travel with the team to Philadelphia and have been downgraded to out for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

This could open the door for D’Onta Foreman to make his 2018 debut for Houston with Alfred Blue seeing plenty of work tomorrow.

Miller, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with Miami before agreeing to a four-year, $26 million contract that included $14 million guaranteed with the Texans back in 2016.

Miller stands to make base salaries of $5 million and $5.5 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Miller has appeared in 13 games for the Texans and rushed for 917 yards on 193 carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with 23 receptions for 163 yards receiving and five total touchdowns.
