Texans Expected To Start QB Case Keenum In Week 16

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports mentions that although HC Bill Oโ€™Brien is delaying an announcement regarding who the starting quarterback will be for Sundayโ€™s game against the Ravens, the overall expectation is that they will ultimately go with  Case Keenum.

The Texans signed Keenum off of the Ramsโ€™ practice squad earlier in the week, despite the fact that they have Thad Lewis currently on their roster.

Keenum previously played for the Texans, but they were running Gary Kubiakโ€˜s offense at the time. They have since hired Bill Oโ€™Brien, so it is interesting to hear that they are more comfortable going with Keenum given the limited amount of time heโ€™s had in their system.

Last year, Keenum appeared in eight games and completed 54.2 percent of his passes for 1,760 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.
