The Houston Texans officially promoted RB C.J. Prosise to their active roster on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
Prosise will revert back to the Texans’ practice squad on Monday, as this is just the standard elevation.
Prosise, 26, is a former third-round pick by the Seahawks out of Notre Dame in the 2016 NFL Draft. He finished out his four-year, $3.11 million rookie contract and was testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career before he signed on to the Texans’ practice squad a few weeks ago.
Prosise has been active for one game this season, but has yet to register a statistic.
In 2019, Prosise appeared in eight games and rushed for 58 yards on 19 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with 10 receptions for 76 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
