Texans Re-Sign DL Ufomba Kamalu

The Houston Texans have re-signed DL Ufomba Kamalu on Wednesday, according to his agent David Canter.

Kamalu, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed to their practice squad before eventually being called up in November.

Kamalu was set to be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Kamalu appeared in nine games for the Texans and recorded six tackles and two sacks.

During his college career at Miami, Kamalu recorded 94 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
