The Houston Texans officially waived WR Stephen Louis on Monday and signed DB Derrick Jones to a contract.
Jones, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jets back in 2017. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2.54 million contract and set to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season when the Jets waived him last week.
Jones was later claimed by the Packers. However, Green Bay waived him the next day with a failed physical designation.
For his career, Jones has appeared in four games and recorded three tackles and no interceptions over the course of two seasons.
