Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have signed DE/OLB Davin Bellamy to their practice squad on Monday.
Hereโs the Colts updated practice squad:
- OT Rick Leonard
- RB Karon Higdon Jr
- WR Chad Hansen
- OT Kyle Murphy
- QB Alex McGough
- DB Anthony Chesley
- DB Jonathan Owens
- LB Nate Hall
- S Shalom Luani
- LB Davin Bellamy
Wilson says Bellamy declined to sign a futures contract with the Bengals.
Bellamy, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Georgia back in 2018. He later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Texans, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
Houston re-signed Bellamy to their practice squad and brought him back on a futures contract, only to cut him loose at the start of the 2019 season. He later signed on to the Bengals’ taxi squad.
During his four-year college career at Georgia, Bellamy recorded 135 tackles, 13 sacks, four forced fumbles, two recoveries and five pass defenses over the course of 42 games.
