Texans Signing QB Thad Lewis

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Houston Texans are signing former Bills QB Thaddeus Lewis to a contract.

This comes after the news that QB Ryan Mallett out for the season after he suffered a torn pectoral muscle before Sunday’s game.

Lewis, 26, was among the Bills final roster cuts coming out of the preseason after he was unable to beat out Jeff Tuel for a backup job.

In recent months, Lewis has worked out for the Eagles and Rams.

Last year, Lewis appeared in six games and completed 59.2 percent of his passes for 1,092 yards to go along with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
