Texans Tender RFA LB Brennan Scarlett

According to Aaron Wilson, the Houston Texans will issue a second-round tender to restricted free agent LB Brennan Scarlett.

The tender for Scarlett is worth $2.025 million, as the team looks to keep all of its upcoming restricted free agents.

Scarlett, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury before being activated later on.

Scarlett landed on the injured reserve again in December of last year due to a foot injury, making this his third time being placed on IR in his NFL career.

In 2018, Scarlett appeared in 12 games and recorded 18 total tackles, no sacks, one interception, three pass defenses, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
