Texans Tried Out WR Hunter Sharp

According to Howard Balzer, the Houston Texans worked out WR Hunter Sharp on Monday.

Sharp, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Utah State back in May before signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Eagles. He was waived from injured reserve with a settlement during the preseason last year.

The Broncos signed him to their practice squad late last season and brought him back on a future/reserve contract last year. Since then, he’s had brief stints with the Giants and Bills.

In 2017, Sharp appeared in three games and caught five passes for 54 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also contributed 93 kick and punt return yards.
