Texans Waive 2013 4th Round Pick LB Trevardo Williams

Texans DC Romeo Crennel told reporters on Friday that 2013 fourth-round pick LB Trevardo Williams has been released, per Tania Ganguli.

Houston has already released both of their third round selections — OT Brennan Williams and DE/OLB Sam Montgomery — from the 2013 draft and have now parted ways with their fourth-rounder as well.

All three players never played a snap for the Houston Texans and cost the team $2.205 million, per Brian McIntyre.

Williams, 23, has yet to appear in an NFL game. During rookie season, Williams suffered what appeared to be a leg injury during the team’s final preseason game and was later placed on season-ending injured reserve.

We’ll have to see if anyone claims him off of waivers and gives him another shot.
