John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have waived RB D’Onta Foreman on Sunday.
According to McClain, Houston was not happy with Foreman’s work habits.
Foreman has worked his way back from a season-ending Achilles injury he suffered during his rookie season. However, it appears as though Houston felt it was best to move on from him now.
The Texans currently have Lamar Miller, Josh Ferguson, Taiwan Jones, Buddy Howell, Damarea Crockett, and Karan Higdon on their roster at running back.
Foreman, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Texans back in 2017. He signed a four-year contract worth $3,159,484, which includes a signing bonus of $759,484 and stands to make a base salary of $678,500 for the 2019 season.
In 2017, Foreman rushed for 327 yards on 78 carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 83 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 10 games. His 2017 season came to an end with him being placed on injured reserve.
