According to Aaron Wilson, the Texans are working out free agent defensive backs Trevor Williams and Picasso Nelson on Friday.
Williams, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2016. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed to their practice squad.
Williams re-signed with the Chargers as a restricted free agent this past offseason but was waived from their injured reserve list earlier this month. The Cardinals claimed him off waivers before releasing him a few weeks ago.
In 2018, Williams appeared in nine games for the Chargers and recorded 23 tackles, one interception and four pass defenses.
