Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are bringing free agent ILB Brandon Marshall for a workout on Tuesday.
Marshall is one of the best available linebackers right now and should be able to secure a roster in the coming days/weeks.
Marshall, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2012. However, he lasted just over a year in Jacksonville before he was waived at the start of the 2013 season and later signed to the Broncos practice squad.
Denver brought Marshall back for the 2016 season on a one-year, restricted tender before eventually agreeing to a five-year, $34.553 million contract that includes $20 million guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $6.5 million for the 2019 season when the Broncos declined his option.
Marshall signed a one-year contract with the Raiders this past March, but wound up being released coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Marshall appeared in 11 games for the Broncos and recorded 42 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
