The Jets Still An Option For Braylon Edwards?

Bob Glauber reports that Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum wouldn’t rule our the possibility that WR Braylon Edwards could end up returning to the Jets next season.

Tannenbaum mentioned that Edwards workout and practice habits are “one of his best attributes” as a player, but added that he doesn’t expect them “to sign anybody before the draft.

That’s certainly not surprising considering that teams are preparing for the next weeks’ draft. Free agents will have to take a back seat for the time being and see where they can fit into a team once they’ve completed the draft.

The Jets could still use help at receiver, so it will be interesting to see who they target in the early rounds of the draft. Edwards will most likely draw at least some interest in the coming weeks, but his poor 2011 season isn’t helping his chances any.
