This would presumably free up Gostkowski to kick in the wildcard game against the Ravens this weekend.
Gostkowski, 36, is a former fourth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2006. He finished out his four-year, $17.2 million contract before agreeing to a two-year deal worth $8.5 million last year.
Gostkowski was set to make a base salary of $3.5 million for the 2020 season when the Patriots released him. He signed on with the Titans before the start of the regular season.
In 2020, Stephen Gostkowski has appeared in 15 games for the Titans and converted 18 of 26 attempts (69.2 percent) to go along with 26 of 48 extra point tries (95.8 percent).
