The Tennessee Titans officially designated K Ryan Succop as one of their two players to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.
This officially opens a three-week window of time for Lock to practice with the team before Tennessee will need to add him to their active roster.
Succop, 33, is a former seventh-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2009. He played five seasons in Kansas City before joining the Titans for the 2014 season.
Succop finished out his contract before agreeing to a five-year, $20 million contract with the Titans that includes $7.25 million guaranteed last year.
In 2018, Succop appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and converted 26 of 30 field goal attempts (86.7 percent) to go along with 28 of 31 extra point tries.
