Titans DT Jason Jones Will Draw “Considerable Attention” On The Open Market

Dan Pompei of the National Football Post reports that Titans DT Jason Jones will garner “considerable attention” as an unrestricted free agent in the coming days.

Jones’ 2011 season wasn’t as productive as his 2010 season was but that probably had a lot to do with the fact that the Titans moved him to defensive end. Pompei notes that Jones sees himself as a formidable interior pass rusher rather than a defensive end.

This could actually help his value considering that he’s only 25 and has the ability to apply pressure up the middle. Speculative interest could come from the Eagles (former Titans defensive line coach Jim Washburn) and the Rams (Jeff Fisher was his head coach two years ago).
