Titans NT Sammie Lee Hill Will Miss 3 Games After Knee Procedure

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Titans NT Sammie Lee Hill underwent a procedure on his knee to clean it out and fix an MCL injury.

According to Rapoport, Hill is expected to miss the Titans’ first three games of the season and return following their bye.

Hill re-injured his knee before last week’s preseason game, and there was talk that it may require surgery, so this doesn’t come as a complete shock.

Hill, 28, is in the final year of his three-year, $11.4 million contract that included $4 million guaranteed, and stands to make a base salary of $3.8 million for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Hill appeared in 15 games for the Titans and recorded 33 tackles, three sacks, and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 60 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
