The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they’ve placed OLB Vic Beasley on the team’s Non-Football Injury list and waived OLB Reggie Gilbert with an injury designation.
Should Gilbert clear waivers on Wednesday, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list.
Beasley did not show up for the start of training camp and placed on on the did not report list a few weeks ago. However, Tennessee activated him from the list after he finally reported to the team.
Beasley, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $14.5 million contract but the Falcons picked up his fifth-year option worth $14,200,000 for the 2019 season.
The Titans signed Beasley to a one-year contract worth up to $12 million this offseason.
In 2019, Beasley appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 42 total tackles, 8 sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses.
