Ian Rapoport reports that the Titans have placed OT Jack Conklin on the PUP list to start training camp, and first-round LB Rashaan Evans and WR Michael Campanaro on their Non-Football Injury list.
Conklin, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2016. He’ll be entering the third year of his four-year, $15,897,658 and set to make a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.
The Titans have a fifth-year option that they can pick up in 2019.
He sustained a season-ending torn ACL back in January and has been rehabbing ever since, so this move does not come as a big surprise.
In 2017, Conklin appeared in all 16 games for the Titansย and is rated byย Pro Football Focusย as the No. 13 offensive tackleย out of 85 qualifying players.
Evans, 21, was taken with the No. 22 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Titans. According to OverTheCap.com, he receives an $11,577,192 contract that includes a $6,499,776 signing bonus.
The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Titans to pick up in 2021. It’s worth mentioning that the fifth-year option is only guaranteed for injury and won’t prevent the two parties from working on a long-term extension.
During his four-year college career at Alabama, Evans recordedย 150 total tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five pass defenses, two fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles.
