Titans Place S Johnathan Cyprien On IR, Sign OT Laurence Gibson

The Tennessee Titans announced Friday that theyโ€™ve placed S Johnathan Cyprien on injured reserve and waived DL Connor Flagel with an injury designation.

  • The Titans also signed OT Laurence Gibson to a contract and activated TE Phillip Supernaw from the PUP list.

The Titans are hosting several notable safeties for workouts today, so it wouldnโ€™t be surprising to see them sign someone either tonight or tomorrow.

Cyprien, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $5,469,104 contract with the Jaguars before signing a four-year, $25 million contract with the Titans last year.

Cyprien stands to make base salaries of $4.5 million and $5.5 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Cyprien appeared in 10 games for the Titans and recorded 57 tackles, one sack, no interceptions and a pass defense.
