According to Paul Kuharsky, the Titans are promoting veteran OLB Brooks Reed from their practice squad to the active roster.
Reed, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with Houston before agreeing to a five-year, $22.5 million contract that included $9 million guaranteed back in 2015 with the Falcons.
Reed was set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2019 season when the Falcons released him and he quickly signed a contract with the Cardinals shortly after. The Titans added him to their practice squad last month following a workout and has bounced on and off their active roster.
For his career, Reed has appeared in 129 tackles for the Texans, Falcons and Cardinals and recorded 275 tackles, 22.5 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and 11 passes defended.
