According to Adam Schefter, Titans RB Derrick Henry has a strained calf that could sideline him up to two weeks.
Schefter adds the team doesn’t believe the injury is serious and is being cautious. Henry is currently in a walking boot.
Henry is expected to be a focal point of the Titans’ offense in 2019 and the good news is that there’s plenty of time for him to get ready for Week 1.
Henry, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $5.407 million contract and set to make a base salary of $1.18 million for the 2019 season.
Henry will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2018, Henry appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and rushed for 1,059 yards on 215 carries (4.9 YPC) to go along with 15 receptions for 99 yards receiving and 12 total touchdowns.
