Titans Release K Cairo Santos & OL David Quessenberry

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they’ve released K Cairo Santos and OL David Quessenberry.

This comes after Santos missed three kicks on Sunday in a tight game against the Bills and had another blocked.

The Titans now have two open roster spots to work with this week, so you can expect them to hold tryouts in the coming days.

Santos, 27, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane back in 2014. He returned to the Chiefs on a one-year restricted deal worth $1.797 million.

Kansas City elected to place him on injured reserve with a groin strain at the start of the season and cut him loose with a settlement soon after. He would go on to have brief stints with the Bears, Jets and Buccaneers before the Titans signed him to a contract last month.

In 2019, Santos has appeared in five games for the Titans and converted 4 of 9 field goal attempts and 12 of 12 extra point tries.
