Titans HC Mike Mularkey announced Sunday that RT Jack Conklin suffered a torn ACL during Saturday’s loss to the Patriots.
This is terrible news for a good young player. It’s possible Conklin will open the 2018 season on the team’s PUP list, which would cost him at least the first six games of the season.
Conklin, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2016. He’ll be entering the third year of his four-year, $15,897,658 and set to make a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.
The Titans have a fifth-year option that they can pick up in 2019.
In 2017, Conklin appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 13 offensive tackle out of 85 qualifying players.
