Titans Sign QB Austin Davis, Place OL Kevin Pamphile On IR

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Titans are signing QB Austin Davis to a contract on Tuesday.

The Titans also announced the following roster moves:

The Titans’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Robert Spillane
  2. DB Josh Kalu
  3. DB Damon Webb
  4. OL Coleman Shelton
  5. G David Quessenberry
  6. TE Anthony Firkser
  7. WR Cameron Batson
  8. DL Darius Kilgo
  9. WR Kalif Raymond
  10. OL Ian Silberman

The Titans made it clear that they were likely to add a veteran quarterback this week with Blaine Gabbert in the concussion protocol and Marcus Mariota still nursing that elbow injury.

Davis, 29, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss back in 2012. He lasted just over a year with the Rams before signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad at the start of the 2013 season.

After returning to the Rams for a few years, Davis bounced around with the Browns and Broncos before eventually signing on with the Seahawks in June of last year. The Seahawks brought Davis back in April before placing him on injured reserve coming out of the preseason.

Seattle released Davis from injured reserve with an injury settlement soon after.

In 2017, Davis appeared in three games for the Seahawks.
