Titans Signing QB Jordan Palmer

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that the Titans are signing QB Jordan Palmer to a contract after Jake Locker sustained another injury on Sunday.

Head coach Ken Whisenhunt mentioned last week that there was a “legitimate chance” that rookie Zach Mettenberger (shoulder) will return this season, but so little to play for, it probably makes sense for them to go with their options seeing as they are already in contention for the No. 1 overall pick.

Palmer, 30, last played for the Bills before he was placed on waivers at the start of the 2014 season.

He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2010 season when he was playing for the Bengals.
