Titans Will Not Pick Up OT Jack Conklin’s Fifth-Year Option

According to Pro Football Talk, the Titans don’t plan to pick up OT Jack Conklin‘s fifth-year option.

This means Conklin will be an unrestricted free agent following the 2019 season.

Conklin, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Titans back in 2016. He’ll be entering the final year of his four-year, $15,897,658 and made will make a base salary of $2,617,863 for the 2019 season.

Conklin’s fifth-year option would have been worth $12.866 million and become fully guaranteed on the first day of the 2020 league year.

Conklin spent training camp on the PUP list before being activated at the start of the regular season. In 2018, Conklin started in nine games for the Titans before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.

According to Pro Football Focus, Conklin was the No. 45 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
