Sims, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3.104 million contract before returning to the Buccaneers on a one-year contract this past April.
The Buccaneers placed Sims on injured reserve last month before cutting him loose with an injury settlement a few weeks later.
Since becoming a free agent, Sims has worked out for a number of teams including the Texans, Patriots, Jaguars, and Lions but left each meeting without a contract.
In 2017, Sims appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers and rushed for 95 yards on 21 carries (5.9 YPC) to go along with 35 receptions for 249 yards receiving and one touchdown.
Orchard, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $4.466 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Browns elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
Orchard had a brief stint with the Bills this season but was released and signed by the Chiefs last month. Kansas City elected to waive him last week to make room for S Daniel Sorensen on the active roster.
In 2018, Orchard has appeared in three games for the Bills and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
