Titans Worked Out Defensive Linemen Including DT Devon Still

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Titans hosted former Bengals DT Devon Still for a workout on Wednesday.

Still, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals. Last year, Still was released at the start of the season, but he was later added to the team’s practice squad.

Cincinnati brought Still back on aย one-year, $740,000 contract back in March. However, he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

The Colts later brought Still in for a workout, but never signed him to a contract.

In 2014, Stillย appeared in 12 games and recorded 19 tackles for the Bengals.ย Pro Football Focusย has himย down for playing 237 snaps last year.

Bowers, 25,ย has been a major disappointment ever since the Buccaneers used aย second-round pick on him back in 2010. Heย has missed nine games in the past two years with injuries and has been largely ineffective when healthy.

On top of that, theย NFL suspended Bowers two games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Tampa Bay elected to bring him backย one-year deal this past July and moved him to defensive tackle. However, he was among their final roster cutsย at the start of the season.

Since then, Bowers has worked out for a fewย of teams including the Cowboys, Panthers, and Vikings.

In 2014, Bowers appeared in 11 games and recorded 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and a pass defense for the Buccaneers.
