Tom Brady Deal in the Works?

Earlier today, Tom E. Curran of CSN New England posted that Robert Kraft commented on the teams negotiations with Brady by saying “We’re cooking.” When you consider that along with Monday’s reports of Tom Brady and Robert Kraft golfing together over the weekend, you could easily assume that negotiations between the parties are moving along, and then there is this.

Albert Breer of the Boston Globe attempted to clarify the remarks made by Kraft by saying “From what I understand now, Kraft didn’t hear the question clearly and his ‘we’re cooking’ comment was apparently a general reference to the first preseason game coming and football season creeping closer.”

This isn’t all that much of a set back but it does suggest that a deal may not be as close as we thought earlier this morning.
