TRADE: 49ers Trade OLB Eli Harold To Lions For Conditional 7th-Rd Pick

Kyle Meinke reports that the 49ers are trading OLB Eli Harold to the Lions for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2020.

Our entire organization would like to thank Eli for his hard work and contributions to our team and the Bay Area community over the last three years,” said General Manager John Lynch. “He always represented the 49ers with class and has been a tremendous teammate. We wish Eli and his wife, Kelsey, nothing but the best in the years to come.

It’s a low-cost move for the Lions, as they look to bolster their pass rush before the start of the season.

Harold, 24, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.071 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Harold will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2017, Harold appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and recorded 34 tackles and two sacks.
