Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the Bills have traded WR Zay Jones to the Raiders for a 2021 fifth-round pick on Monday.
Mortensen says that the emergence of Duke Williams made Jones expendable.
This is the second trade the Raiders have made for a receiver in the past few weeks after acquiring Trevor Davis from the Packers.
Jones, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Bills back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $6.77 million contract that includes $4.3 million guaranteed.
Jones stands to make base salaries of $1.03 million and $1.33 million over the final two years of the agreement.
In 2019, Jones has appeared in five games for the Bills and caught seven passes for 69 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
