TRADE: Cowboys Trade CB Charvarius Ward To Chiefs For OL Parker Ehinger

Todd Archer and Adam Schefter are reporting that the Cowboys have agreed to trade undrafted rookie CB Charvarius Ward to the Chiefs.

The trade is expected to be finalized on Friday.

Ward, 22, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cowboys and stands to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season.

During his two years at Middle Tennessee State, Ward recorded 74 tackles, three tackles for a loss, one sack, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and 13 pass defenses.

Ehinger, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.9 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Ehinger was limited to appearing in just one game.
