Savage Jr, 21, was a three-year starter at Maryland who initially played cornerback before transitioning to safety in 2016. Most draft analysts had him as a mid-round prospect in this year’s draft.

During his four-year college career at Maryland, Savage Jr recorded 182 tackles, one sack, eight interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, 13 pass defenses and a fumble recovery over the course of 40 games.
