Todd Archer is reporting that the Packers have traded OLB Jayrone Elliott to the Cowboys on Sunday. According to Archer, the Packers receive a conditional seventh round pick in 2018 for Elliott.
Elliott, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out Toledo back in 2014. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,535,000 rookie contract with the Packers but did not receive a restricted offer from the team, which is why he’s been testing the open market.
He signed with the Packers this offseason after receiving interest from the Bills and Steelers.
In 2016, Elliott appeared in 11 games for the Packers and recorded 19 tackles and sack.
