TRADE: Patriots Trade S Jordan Richards To Falcons

Jim McBride reports that the Patriots trading S Jordan Richards are to the Falcons on Friday.

• Ian Rapoport reports that the Patriots receive a conditional seventh-round pick for Richards.

Richards, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.711 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Richards will be an unrestricted free agent in 2018.

In 2017, Richards appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and recorded 27 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
