Veteran DL Jason Hatcher Retiring From NFL

Veteran DL Jason Hatcher is retiring from the NFL, according to his agent Jordan Woy.

Hatcher, 33, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2006. He spent eight years in Dallas before signing a four-year, $27.5 million contract with the Redskins as a free agent back in 2013.

Unfortunately, Washington released Hatcher in a move that freed up $4.2 million in cap space.

As a free agent, Hatcher visited with the Saints, but didn’t a sign a deal with them.

Over the course of his 10-year NFL career, Hatcher recorded 175 tackles, 34.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles, five recoveries, an interception and two touchdowns. He also made one Pro Bowl during the 2013 season.

We had him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
